MARS Van to visit library

The Ascension Parish Library brings the galaxy to you as they welcome Christopher Kersey of the Highland Road Observatory and the MARS outreach van. Through hands-on activities and experiments, participating children learn about the solar system and the heavenly bodies that inhabit it. The van is equipped with telescopes participants can use to view the night sky and beyond.

The MARS outreach van is scheduled to visit the Ascension Parish Library in Galvez on Tuesday, Jan. 6.  To give everyone an opportunity to enjoy the experience, the MARS van is scheduled to visit from 5-8 p.m.

The program and its associated activities are designed for children in grades third to fifth; however, younger siblings are welcome to attend and enjoy the program as well.
