Morena Cazedessus hosted a potluck supper at her home at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 to welcome home members of the Friendship Force of Baton Rouge who had just returned from a trip to New Zealand. After a meal, Exchange Director Thornton Cofield narrated a slide show of photos taken on their trip. Special guests at the event were Errikos Leonidou and Carol Anderson from Cyprus. They were visiting with Friendship Force member Jo Ann Wall. Wall had met Leonidou online playing bridge 15 years ago and met him in person 13 years ago. This is his 5th trip to the United States and he always visits with Wall. Leonidou previously lived in London for 35 years and owned a women’s clothing manufactory. This is the first time Wall has met Anderson in person. Anderson was born in the United States, moved to Paris to obtain a Ph.D and now lives between Paris and Cyprus. Shown are, from left, C. J. LeBlanc, of Dutchtown; Carol Anderson, of Cyprus and Paris; Errikos Leonidou, of Cyprus; and Jo Ann Wall, of Prairieville.
