Jambalaya Festival runs May 23-26

The 46th Annual Jambalaya Festival is set for May 23 through 26 in Gonazales during Memorial Day Weekend.

It is one of the largest festivals in the state, featuring live music on three stages throughout the festival, a car show, a 5K and carnival fun. The highlight of the event is the cooking contest, with entrants vying for the title of "World Jambalaya Cooking Champ of Champs."
