Cosmo's hottest bachelor Ryan Chenevert set to compete in 'Dancing for a Cause'

Cosmo's hottest bachelor Ryan Chenevert has signed on to compete in this year's "Dancing for a Cause" fundraising event.
The event is scheduled for July 13, at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales. Proceeds will benefit Community Opportunities/The ARC of East Ascension, better known as COEA.
A lot will be riding on Chenevert with the recent resignation of the event's organizer/chair Sharon Morris. She resigned for personal reasons.
Morris has been at the helm since the fundraiser since it began five years ago. She announced her decision to step down, May 1, at a Meet and Greet event for the dancers held at the Public Safety Building next to the fire station in Gonzales.
"I wanted to be sure I got everything ready to go before I stepped down," she said, during an interview with Gonzales Weekly Citizen. "We have the celebrity dancers, the pros and the judges. But after I am gone, that could all change."
She said the new chairman has the option of going in a different direction with the dancers, pros and judges. It's not up to her anymore, she added, so there could be some changes.
Morris said she wants everyone to know her heart is with COEA and Dancing for a Cause.
"This was not an easy decision, but it's something I had to do," she said.
Anita Cann, one of the program's organizers, issued the following statement following Morris' resignation:
"The ARC of East Ascension has an awesome group of community leaders, dancers and staff who will continue working toward making the event a success. Dancing for a Cause will be chaired this year by Brad Walker, owner of nStrumental Design and publisher of the Creole."
Cann, owner of Affordable Printing, said she, Mark Dearman, general manager of Rubicon, Inc., and Sharon Morris have "passed the baton."
