Girl Scout cookies have arrived and Girl Scout volunteers have their vehicles loaded with your favorite flavors! Booth sales will be held each weekend March 1-17, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at local grocery stores, merchant chain stores and home and gardening centers. The free Cookie Locator lets you find cookies on sale close to you. Use your phone's GPS location to find cookies nearby, or find cookies by ZIP code, city, or state. You can map your way to a cookie booth by simply calling (**472665437) from your mobile phone or stock up on your favorites by emailing prairievillegirlscouts@live.com for additional help.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-run business in the country. Much more than a fundraiser, it’s a unique, hands-on way for girls to develop five essential skills that are core to the Girl Scout Leadership Program:

•Goal-setting

•Decision-making

•Money management

•People skills

•Business ethics

In addition to developing skills, the Girl Scout troops use money earned from selling cookies for campouts, educational trips, community projects and Girl Scout program activities.  Buying Girl Scout cookies is much more than satisfying treat, it is an investment in the future leaders of our country.
