Ebenezer Scoorge, Jacob Marley and of course, the ghosts' characters from the Victorian era took over the stage at Ascension Community Theatre for three days from Dec. 13 to Dec. 16.

Young actors put a hilarious spin on the classic "A Christmas Carol." Some of the cast members include Gabi Townley, 15, as The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come; Benjamin Moran, 16, as Ebenezer Scrooge; Cody Bourgeois, 16, as Jacob Marley; Daniel Novak, 17, as another Ebenezer Scrooge; Ethan Smith, 16, as Charles Dickens; Kennadi Wells, 13, as The Ghost of Christmas Past; and, Cody Breaux, as a young Ebenezer Scrooge.

Assistant Director Charlotte Guedry said in this version Charles Dickens comes back to watch as students adapt his famous novella into a theatre production. She said everyone involved in the production are volunteers, including those working behind the scenes.
