River Road African American Museum to hold 'Honoring Veterans Past and Present'

Kathe Hambrick, director of the River Road African American Museum, announced they will holding a program called "Honoring Veterans Past and Present" on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the museum located at 406 Charles Street.

Hambrick made the announcement at the Ascension Parish Council meeting on Nov. 1.

A live jazz band will kick-off the event at 2 p.m. followed by a 4 p.m. reception for special guest Tuskegee Airman Calvin Moret of New Orleans.

An outdoor movie showing of "Red Tails", the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, will begin at 6 p.m., Hambrick said
