Galvez-Lake Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser

In the continuing efforts to serve and protect the community, Galvez-Lake Volunteer Fire Department recently purchased, outfitted and put into service, a new EMS/Rescue truck.

With great appreciation, the members, firefighters, and first responders of Galvez-Lake VFD would like to thank the community for their generous donations through our annual fund drive and many fund raising events.

This year, as one of the fund raising events, is the raffling of a beautiful copper waterfall garden that was made and donated by waterfallforge.com. Tickets for the raffle are available for purchase at the fire station, from any of the dinner sales, or any member of the Galvez-Lake Volunteer Fire Department. The raffle will be drawn on Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. Winner need not be present to win.

In December the department will once again do their Caroling with Santa. Donations of food, money, and new unwrapped toys will be accepted. These donations will to go families given to the department by the Ascension Parish Sheriff's office. The route will be posted on the website and local papers soon.
