Green Tag Open House Saturday
Sunshine Equipment is hosting a Green Tag Open House, Saturday, May 16 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at all locations, which includes Baton Rouge, Covington, Donaldsonville, LaPlace and Thibodaux.
The Sunshine Equipment Green Tag Open House is an opportunity for consumers to get behind the wheel of a variety of equipment from lawn tractors to gators and from compact utility tractors to the large utility tractors. Specialists and dealer representatives will be on hand to demonstrate the new line up of John Deere equipment.
Ascension Parish Town Meeting Monday

Memorial Day recognition May 25 at Veterans Park
The Memorial Park Committee will host its annual Memorial Day recognition Monday, May 25 at The Veterans Memorial Park, 612 South Irma Blvd., Gonzales. The program will start at 11 a.m. Food and refreshments will be served following the program. The guest speaker will be Major Cindy Haygood, Battalian Commander of the 769th Engineering Battalian.

Stroke, osteoporosis screening May 28
Residents living in and around Gonzales can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke or bone fracture. Fitness For All, located at 43508 Quality Lane, Gonzales, will host Life Line Screening on May 28, beginning at 9 a.m. Packages start at $139. All five screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete. ‘Special Tuesdays’ coming in June
The Beau Porto Special Tuesdays recreation program will be held every Tuesday from June 2-21 from 2-6 p.m. at the Ascension Civic Center on Airline Highway in Sorrento. The program includes activities, food and music. Parents, friends, families and personal care attendants are welcome.
