EATEL adds two new high definition channels

Staff reports

Two new high definition channels, MLB Network HD and Travel Channel HD, have been added to EATEL’s digital FiberEdge HD lineup.

Launched in time for fantasy baseball, MLB Network is the official network of Major League Baseball. The 24-hour channel airs live games, original programming, highlights, classic games and coverage of baseball events, all in high definition. It also includes MLB Tonight, the network’s nightly signature program, featuring live look-ins of games in progress, updates, highlights, reporting and analysis.

Whether planning a trip in the near future or interested in learning more about the world’s exciting and unique destinations, Travel Channel HD allows viewers to see the world without leaving the comfort of their living room. The network features shows such as Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, Bizarre Foods and Samantha Brown’s Passport Series, bringing the full spectrum of the world’s travel spots, all in vibrant high definition.

“MLB Network HD is yet another great addition to our HD lineup for sports fans,” said Brad Supple, EATEL's director of sales and marketing. “In addition, watching the Travel Channel in high definition is the next best thing to being in all of those exotic locations around the world.”

EATEL is a privately owned communications company headquartered in Ascension Parish.
