'LA Rider: America on 2 Wheels' TV show launches new fall season Louisiana-based motorcycle travel series expands to regional FOX Network

“La Rider,” Louisiana's only weekly tourism television show begins its eighth season 
with its Fall premiere this weekend September 23 on stations across Louisiana and on 
the Fox Sports South network. Hosts of the popular motorcycle tourism show are (L-R) 
T.W. Robinson, Tammi Arender and Lovie Zago, affectionally known on the show as the 
Chrome Cowgirls.

"LA Rider," Louisiana's premier motorcycle travel television show will be riding the Gulf Coast in a new 13-week series airing on several Louisiana FOX and other broadcast stations beginning this weekend, Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, 2012.

"LA Rider," which hit the airwaves in 2005 debuts its fall premiere to more than one million viewers throughout Louisiana in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette, Alexandria and Lake Charles, and this season the feature show will now be available to more than 12 million television households in seven southern states on the FOX Sports South network.

Since its inception seven years ago, "LA Rider", the state's only weekly tourism show, has provided informative stories on motorcycle travel, adventure and touring to thousands of viewers. The 2012 Fall TV season will mark the show's 300th episode.

"From the very beginning our audience has asked for more stories on travel and destinations, whether it is an overnighter, a weekend rendezvous or a full-blown motorcycle vacation," says Bob Courtney, the show's creator and Executive Producer. "Over the years we have traversed the country in search of interesting stories that tell the positive side of motorcycling but we have always found that some of motorcycle travel's best kept secrets are right here in our own backyard!"

This season the show, now re-named "LA Rider - America on 2 Wheels" will have a distinctive Louisiana flavor and focus. The show will travel across Louisiana in search of curious attractions, but will place a special emphasis on Louisiana's top destinations and unique stories told from the perspective of three Louisiana women riders.

Hosted by businesswoman T.W. Robinson, TV news anchor Tammi Arender and Lovie Zago, who call themselves the Chrome Cowgirls, "LA Rider – America on 2 Wheels" explores all the best that Louisiana has to offer the riding community -- great roads, good food, interesting people and terrific destinations.

Support for the new series comes from the Louisiana Office of Tourism's Scenic Byways program as well as a several Louisiana convention and visitors bureaus, including the Livingston Parish and Houma/Terrebonne Parish CVB's and Southeast Louisiana Gumbo, an association of nine CVB's in Southeast Louisiana. Additional support comes from New Orleans Harley-Davidson..

"LA Rider – America on 2 Wheels" debuts its Fall Season in Louisiana on Saturday, September 15, 2012 in NEW ORLEANS on WPXL @ 9:00 AM, and Sunday, September 16 at 10:00 AM on the following Fox stations: BATON ROUGE- WGMB Fox44, SHREVEPORT- KMSS Fox 33, LAFAYETTE- KADN Fox 15, ALEXANDRIA- WNTZ Fox 48.

The Fall Season of "LA Rider – America on 2 Wheels" begins on the FOX SPORTS SOUTH (FSS) Network Sunday, September 23, 2012 airing weekly at 9:00 AM (Eastern) with re-airings on Saturdays at 5:30 AM (Eastern) and Sundays at 4:30 AM (Eastern). The Fox Sports South network includes cable and satellite stations in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky.
