VFW Post 3693 to host ‘Annual Pageant’
The VFW Post 3693 will host a pageant Saturday, May 16 for girl’s ages infant to 20 years old. Early registration is being held now until May 14. Entries will be accepted at the door.

Pancake Breakfast and Bingo
The VFW 3693 will host a “Pancake Breakfast and Bingo” starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 15 at Azalea Estates, 2305 S. Purpera Ave., Gonzales. The public is invited to attend.
CAR & Bike Show & Poker Run
The Moonlight Inn in French Settlement will be hosting a Car & Bike Show and Poker Run on Saturday, May 16 for Dreams Come True of Louisiana. All proceeds go to terminally ill children or children with life threatening illnesses on Dream Trips or shopping sprees..whatever they ask for. There will be a live auction around 5 p.m., same time as the judging of the vehicles in show. There will be a DJ playing music all day..someone cooking jambalaya and hot dogs.
Donations are needed for the auction, so please help this great cause!

Gatorettes to host summer dance camp
St. Amant High School Gatorettes will host a summer dance camp for kids 3 years and up from June 1-5.
The camp will be fun filled with games, dancing, themed days, snacks and a “show-off” night.
Cost of $55 each includes registration, snacks, drinks, T-shirt and photo. All classes are taught by the members of the National Award Winning Gatorettes.
Participants will be invited to perform at a St. Amant High School home football game.
The camp will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 noon at the St. Amant High School Gold Dome.

Jambalaya Lunch Fundraiser
A benefit will be held in memory of James E. “Jimmy” Marsh on his birthday May 23. The fundraiser is being held to help with medical and funeral expenses. It will be a jambalaya lunch at Lamendola's Grocery on Burnside from 11 a.m. till. Donations given before the benefit can be sent to Ascension Funeral Home.
Harvest Time Food Bank
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, Harvest Time Food Bank will distribute food on Saturday, May 23, between the hours of 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Harvest Time Worship Center, 4462 Jenkins Rd, Darrow. Proper ID required. Certain guidelines must be met in order to qualify.

Tuesday and Sunday Bingo
The St. Amant Knights of Columbus holds bingo two nights a week. On Tuesday, the doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7:30. On Sunday afternoon the doors open at 4 p.m. and bingo begins at 5 p.m. No one under the age of 18 is allowed.
Everyone is invited to come. On the last Tuesday of each month free jambalaya is served to the players. The St. Amant Knights of Columbus Hall is located at 43472 Black Bayou Road.

Ascension Counseling Center offers ‘Adult Anger Management’ classes
