Azalea Estates Spring Bazaar
Azalea Estates Assisted Living, 2305 S. Purpera Ave., Gonzales, will host a “Spring Bazaar,” Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.. Azalea Estates, 2305 S. Purpera Ave., Gonzales, will host a St. Joseph’s Altar at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 16. Everyone is invited to attend.

2015 Food Fest
The Rotary Club of Gonzales Food Festival will take place Tuesday, March 24, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at the Gonzales Civic Center.
The popular annual event benefits the St. Theresa Food Pantry and showcases some of this area’s best chefs. Tickets are $25 per person and are available for purchase at Gonzales City Hall, The Ascension Chamber of Commerce or at the door the night of the event. (Tickets are also available through any Rotary Club of Gonzales Member.)
Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned good. For every one canned good donated, Blue Runner will donate two in return.
‘Celebrate Freedom’ at Jambalaya Park
The annual “Celebrate Freedom” will take place on Saturday, March 28 from 2 - 8 p.m., at the Jambalaya Park, 1015 E. Cornerview St., Gonzales.
There will be food, music, prizes, face painting, bicycle repair, blood pressure check and more. It’s all free!
Dramas will be preformed and testimonies given. The event is hosted by Christ Healing Community and Teen Challenge. For information, call 225-773-4302.
Azalea Estates to host Spring AARP Safe Driving Course
Azalea Estates will host a Spring AARP Safe Driving Course on Tuesday, March 31 at 5:30 p.m. The course fee is $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members.

Benefit Fundraiser for Milton Metrejean
No one fights alone! Fundraiser for Milton Metrejean, a cancer patient, on Sunday, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at No Problem Raceway, 6470 Hwy. 996, Belle Rose. All proceeds going toward medical expenses.
There will be plate lunches, a bake sale, a live auction, music by DJ Scottie C and DJ Rockin Ritchie & T-Cuz, a Kid’s Corner (photos with your favorite characters), and a raffle for a cash prize, cypress rocker, crawfish pot and more.
Tuesday and Sunday Bingo
The St. Amant Knights of Columbus holds bingo two nights a week. On Tuesday, the doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7:30. On Sunday afternoon the doors open at 4 p.m. and bingo begins at 5 p.m. No one under the age of 18 is allowed.
Everyone is invited to come. On the last Tuesday of each month free jambalaya is served to the players. The St. Amant Knights of Columbus Hall is located at 43472 Black Bayou Road.
TOPS LA 422
Take Off Pounds Sensibly LA 422 Prairieville meets on Thursday evenings. Private TOPS weigh-ins are from 5:30-6 p.m. and meetings are from 6-7 p.m. Visitors are welcome to attend their first TOPS meeting free of charge. To find out more information about TOPS, call 313-3180.
Ascension Counseling Center offers ‘Adult Anger Management’ classes

Wednesday Bingo
The American Legion Post 81, 421 E. City, Gonzales, holds bingo every Wednesday night. Everyone is welcome. Children are welcome, but must buy at least a $5 book.

Stop Smoking Classes
All adults are welcome to these FREE “Stop Smoking” classes. Participants will receive cessation education, strategies for quitting, and self-help material from a certified trained clinician.

The Rock Church Food Pantry
The Rock Church Food Pantry opens at 1 pm. every third Tuesday of the calendar month. Participants will gather at at the church’s Western Town and watch a 20 minute Gospel video prior to receiving a ticket to redeem for one bag of groceries per household. One must provide a drivers license or La photo ID.
