The first program will be a documentary called The War of 1812 on Wednesday, January 7 at 7PM. It tells the story of the 2 and a half year war in which the Americans fought against the British, Canadian colonists, and native nations.
At 9PM, The Battle of New Orleans: A Closer Look is a panel discussion led by Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne about the historic importance of the Battle of New Orleans.

On Thursday, January 8 at 7PM, Praying for a Miracle: The Catholic Church and the Battle of New Orleans tells the story of the all-night vigil started on January 7 by the Ursuline Sisters at their chapel on Chartres Street imploring Our Lady of Prompt Succor to give the victory to General Andres Jackson and troops to save the city of New Orleans from British control. During the night, the Superior, Mother Ste. Marie Olivier de Vezin, promised Our Lady that if Jackson and his men won, a Mass of Thanksgiving would be sung every year in memory of her saving help to the city on that day. Every January 8th a Mass of Thanksgiving is celebrated in honor of Our Lady of Prompt Succor. WLAE-TV produced this documentary.
At 8PM, there will be an encore showing of The Battle of New Orleans: A Meaningful Victory.
