The journey to the 2014 UDA National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Fla., was a rewarding one for the local St. Amant High Gatorettes. Feb. 2-3, the team competed in large varsity jazz and hip hop against the best dance teams across the nation. They placed 9th in jazz and 3rd in hip hop. This is the third straight year they have placed in the Top Ten in both routines. Their hip hop routine will be aired on ESPNU, March 22 at 10:30 a.m. and again on ESPN2, April 5, at 1 p.m.
