Dutchtown High School Wrestling will have a Jambalaya fundraiser this Saturday, June 22 at Ascension Tire and Automotive located at 38526 Hwy. 42 in P’Ville. Plates will be $5 and will be ready at 10 a.m. Come support the Griffins!
Gospel Community Health Fair
The 2nd Mt. Carmel Missionary B.C. is hosting a Gospel Community Health Fair on Saturday, June 29, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Event will be held at 2 p.m. The goals of this event are to provide education on preventative health screening, health care programs/information, community safety and awareness, community fellowship and spiritual awareness, etc. There will be free food, free drinks, free health information, music, prize give away and more. A 1st annual Junk in The Truck Sale will be held Saturday, June 22, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at This, That and More, 43123 Weber City Road, Gonzales. The sale is being held to benefit Cancer patient, Beverly Qvesada. Jambalaya will be sold.
Women’s Conference 2013
The Christian Assembly Womens of Purpose will hold Women’s Conference 2013 on Friday, June 28 and Sunday, June 30 at 42158 Hwy. 941, Gonzales. Dr. Richard Rayborn III is the pastor. St. Paul Church Women of Faith Conference
St. Paul Church will host a “Women of Faith Conference” Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22. The conference will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday night. The workshop will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning and the general session begins at noon. Sunday, June 23 is their annual Women Day beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary, located at 10438 Boudreaux Road, Gonzales.
The theme for the conference is “Christian Stewardship,” and the theme for the Women Day is “Being Proverbs 31 Women.” Speaker Friday night is Pastor Felita Smith of the United Fellowship Church, Geismar; Saturday at noon, Pastor Gayle Davis of the Voice of Faith Christian Assembly, Baton Rouge; and Sunday morning, Minister Yolanda Burroughs of the Fountain of Praise Ministries, Houston, Texas.
Ascension Christian 2013 Mini Cheer Clinic
The Ascension Christian High School 2013 Mini Cheer Clinic will take place July 8-12, from 9 a.m. until noon at the gym. Cost is $50 per girl ages 4-13; $45 per girl for middle school squads: price includes a T-shirt. Concession will be sold daily. Deadline for registration is June 25. What to Wear: T-shirt, shorts, tennis shoes, no jewelry. This year is a Disney Theme so girls can choose to participate in the dress up days.

Annual Summer Revival
The Mt. Olive Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Burnett Payton, will hold their Annual Summer Revival from June 26 through June 28 at 7 p.m. The guest speaker for all three nights will be Pastor Adrian Claiborne and The True Light Worship Center family.

Fly Tying with Darryl Crawford
Darryl Crawford will be at the Ascension Parish Library in Dutchtown on Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. to teach participants about the hooks involved in fly tying. There will be a demonstration on how to tie a “bream killer” lure and a “round popping bug” lure, as well as how to fit the rubber legs through the body of the lure.

Free Small Business Consulting
Ascension Parish Library offers free small business consulting on the second Monday of each month at the library in Galvez, 40300 Hwy. 42, Prairieville. Persons wanting to start or improve a small business receive a private, two-hour consultation designed to provide professional help in areas of business planning, financing, marketing, and accounting.
This service is provided by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southern University - Baton Rouge and is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Spartanett Dance Camp
The will be a Spartanett Dance Camp, from 9 a.m. to noon, from June 24-28 at the East Ascension High School gym. The event is for ages 3 and up. Barrels are out
Donate uniforms to one of the seven Volunteer Ascension Blue Barrels. You can find the Barrels at these seven locations Dutch Cleaners, Lejeune's Cleaners, Sac's Western Store, Kean's in Prairieville on Airline, Kean's on Hwy 44, Kean's in Gonzales, The Uniform Post. The Barrels will be out from June through July. Uniforms will be redistributed to students in Ascension Parish that are in need. Volunteer Ascension provides school uniforms to students in K-8th grades in Ascension Parish schools. Volunteers are needed to collect, sort, repair and distribute uniforms all summer.
