Art therapy offered to children with sickle cell children of adults living with sickle cell

he Baton rouge Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation recently received the Local Project Assistance Grant sponsored by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. The grant will provide art therapy to children with sickle cell and the children of adults living with sickle cell. The event will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 18 at the Scotlandville Library, 7373 Scenic Highway, Baton Rouge. These artistic works will be presented at the annual Sickle Cell Walk/Run and will also be displayed in local libraries during the month of September. The grant is awarded to promote artistic collaboration. The grant is predominately funded by the East Baton Rouge's Parish Mayor-President and Metro Council.
