PAC Jambalaya fundraiser
Gonzales Healthcare Center is having its annual PAC Jambalaya fundraiser on Wednesday, April 24. Come by between 12-2 p.m. and pick up a plate. Plates are $7. each. They are located at 905 W Cornerview in Gonzales.
Baptist Church Musical Celebration
The First Pilgrim Clavary Missionary Baptist Church family, 11453 Hwy. 73, Geismar, along with Rev. Irvin Briley, will host their Annual Musical Celebration at 6 p.m., on Saturday, April 20.
Grief Support Group to meet
The public is asked to join the SouthernCare, Inc. montly Grief Support Group. The topic April 25 will be on “grief and family,” coping with anniversaries, birthdays (and whatever is needed by attendents).
Arrival Time: Between 5:30 -6 p.m.
Friends, Neighbors, Family are welcome to come with you. And anyone who is experiencing a loss is welcome to attend.
There is no charge for this program. Refreshments will be provided.

Blue Jean Ball
A Blue Jean Ball, with proceeds going to Kidz Kove, will be held Friday, April 26, from 8 p.m.-midnight at the Gonzales Civic Center, 219 S. Irma Blvd.., Gonzales. Event spotlights: Silent Auction, Cash Bar with music provided by “Something Blue” featuring Jenny Heroman.
Tickets are $20 general admission, $100 Jean Sponsor and $500 Table Sponsor. Ticket locations are Beth’s Boutique, Monogram Promos on Airline at 74 and Orice Roth Fire Station.
Gospel in the Park 2013
Gospel in the Park 2013 will ber held at Jambalaya Park, Gonzales, on Saturday, May 4, from noon until 8 p.m. The event is free to the public.
Choirs, dance teams, and church organizations are invited to participate in this event.

Senior Health Fair
The Ascension Council on Aging is eager to announce its upcoming Senior Health Fair which is scheduled on Friday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center, Ascension Parish Recreation Department Building (the old YMCA Building). Many local healthcare providers and vendors will be attending and ready to provide seniors with information and services available for their health and personal needs.
The Ascension Council on Aging is also teaming up with the Ascension Parish Recreation Department’s monthly lunch at noon and a senior Sock Hop will follow at 1 p.m. It’s a perfect time to get needed healthcare information and have fun doing it!
