Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge to host Bowl-a-Thon at Premier Lanes on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m.-12 noon.

It's time to put on your bowling shoes and join us at the new Premier Lanes bowling center on Saturday, April 13, 2013 -have a great time while raising money to continue the programs of Junior Achievement in Ascension area schools.

You don't need to be a good bowler; just an enthusiastic one. Proceeds raised from this fundraising event will give students five (5) hours of economic and financial education in the classroom.

How does a Bowl-a-Thon work? You get together your friends, co-workers or family members to form a team. Each of you then collects pledges from your other friends, co-workers and family members. Then you join Junior Achievement for a fun-filled, exciting day of bowling, door prizes and a bowler cash raffle.

You will be helping young students understand how to balance a checkbook, the basics of consumer credit, and how to make smart decisions on spending and saving. So call the Junior Achievement office at (225) 928-7008 for more details on how to sign up!
