10th annual Alexis' Angel Sale

Alexis Porta passed away at 16 of an aneurysm in the brain. She donated her organs and brought hope to others who needed it

The 10th annual Alexis' Angel Sale will be held April 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 14340 Villar Rd., Gonzales. The fundraiser will feature plants, arts, crafts, garage sale items and jambalaya. Proceeds go to Donate Life Louisiana to promote organ donor awareness. An on-site blood drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jambalaya is $5/plate from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Her heart went to a lady, 66; liver to a boy, 13; right kidney to a lady, 59; left kidney to a man, 57; pancreas to a man, 35.
