LSU AgCenter conducting a Homeowner Citrus Symposium

The LSU AgCenter is conducting a citrus symposium for homeowners who would like to learn more about growing citrus in the home garden. The symposium will be presented by local County Agents Mariah Bock from St. John Parish, Andrew Loyd from Orleans Parish, and Craig Roussel from Ascension/St. James Parishes. Topics to be covered include general tree care, insect identification and control, and citrus disease management techniques.

The symposium will be held on Tuesday, March 26, from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. at the LaPlace Branch Library, 2920 High 51, LaPlace, in St. John Parish. Interested homeowners from Ascension, St. James, and St. John Parishes are welcome to attend. All attendants will receive a copy of the LSU AgCenter Louisiana Home Citrus Production Guide.
