Car Show and Hamburger Showdown coming to Baton Rouge Fairgrounds

In conjunction with the Uplifting the Coast Festival, organizers will hold a Car Show and Hamburger Showdown at the Baton Rouge Fairgrounds, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., on Saturday, April 6.

Attention car, truck and motorcycle owners:

36 Awards will be given for different classes of cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Attention Burger Masters:

So, you think you can cook the best burgers? Well, here's your chance to prove it! Show the world your grilling skills. First, second & third place cash prizes awarded in Hamburger Showdown for the best tasting Hamburger. Winning team named 2013 Louisiana State Master Burger Champion by the Louisiana Secretary of State. Trophy for Best Named Burger.

Attention Burger Connoisseurs:

Musical performances by Debbie Landry, Wasted Days and Downfall.

Uplifting the Coast Festival is scheduled for June 7, 8 and 9, at the Baton Rouge Fairgrounds. Over 20 musical performances on 2 stages over 3 days. Festival also features Louisiana seafood, arts and crafts vendors, exhibitors, silent auction, amusements for the kids, and much more. There is also an inaugural 3 Mile Off the Road run scheduled for Saturday, June 8, at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds.
