The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 6, 2012 Primary Election is Tuesday, Oct. 9. Anyone who wishes to vote in this election MUST be registered by this date. There are many registered voters in Ascension parish who are not registered in their correct precincts due to incorrect addresses on file at the Registrar of Voters office. This Nov. 6 election is not only for the President of the United States. There are local Ascension parish races as well. Voters should be registered in their correct precinct to vote in these local races. Any changes to the voters' record must be made by October 9.
