'Riding for Guy' benefit set for Saturday
There will be a "Riding for Guy" benefit Sat., Sept. 29 at Bonnie & Friends, 17239 Hwy. 44, Prairieville. The event will feature a benefit raffle, poker run, jambalaya and garage sale.
In March of 2012, Guy Lambert suffered electric shock and respiratory arrest resulting in an anoxic brain injury during regular work hours. He is currently completely and totally disabled. He is institutionalized in Ponchatoula, in a post-acute rehabilitation center.
The poker run begins at 11 a.m. for first rider out, driver $20, rider $10, along with a 50/50 drawing. The run finishes at 6 p.m. at Red Barn bar. Jambalaya will be sold at both places for a $6 donation per plate. The garage sale will be held, from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., at Bonnie & Friends, along the covered sidewalk in front. The will also be a 3-way raffle with tickets $5 each, along with a signed Saints football and coin, gun cabinet, sterling silver and crystal necklace. Tickets are being sold at Bonnie & Friends. Drawing to be held, at 2 p.m., Sat., Sept. 29.
