Post 81 to host 'Veterans Appreciation Breakfast' and 'Post Home' clean-up

Once again, Gautreau/William Post 81, of the American Legion will host a veteran's appreciation breakfast for all local veterans and their families. The breakfast will be on Sat., Sept. 29. It will begin at 8 a.m. at the Post 81 home on City Park Street in Gonzales. All veterans and Legionnaires are encouraged to attend this event.

Immediately following the breakfast, Post 81 will have a Post Home clean-up day. Hurricane Isaac left the Post home wet, dirty and in need of repair. They need Post 81 members and volunteers to assist in this clean-up project.

"This is a great opportunity for Post members to come by, have breakfast, meet your fellow veterans and do a little service for your American Legion Post home," said member Joe Harris. "We will have all the tools and materials needed for this project; allwe need is you!"
