A brand new coffee table book featuring full color photos of the most interesting sights in Gonzales, Donaldsonville, and nearby areas has been published just in time for Christmas.

The book, titled Gonzales, Louisiana and its Surrounding Areas, showcases the historical and cultural sites found in this South Louisiana community.

The Gonzales Committee on Cultural Affairs (GCCA) created the book as part of their mission in sharing some of the area’s most significant sites with visitors from other cultures.

Karen Hatcher, GCCA president, worked with local professional photographers to select pictures that convey the natural beauty and historical significance of South Louisiana, and especially, Ascension Parish.

GCCA ordered a limited printing of just 500 books, many of which were given as gifts to the delegates of Gonzales’ sister city, Meylan, France, when they visited Gonzales in October.

These beautiful coffee table books will be available for purchase this Sunday, Dec. 22nd at the River Region Art Association Depot Gallery on Highway 30 between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.

Or to reserve a copy, contact Karen Hatcher at (225) 253-1675.
