RRAA begins year with 'Meet, Greet, Eat, and Achieve' meeting

The River Region Art Association met on Sunday, Jan. 13, at the River Region Art Center in Gonzales. The meeting announced as the "Meet, Greet, Eat, and Achieve" evening, lived up to its billing. The new 4 p.m. meeting time began with refreshments provided by the 26 members in attendance. The meeting was called to order by President JoAnn Eiswirth, who welcomed both new and old members and then introduced the 2013 Board of Directors.
The highlight of the meeting was a presentation given by Carol Pierce, a member of RRAA, writer, and motivational speaker entitled "Jump Now to Get What You Really Want." Pierce's talk set the stage for the rest of the meeting that included announcements and group discussions concerning insights into new programming for RRAA; and brainstorming for the future of RRAA.
