Barnes & Noble at LSU ribbon cutting postponed

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Barnes & Noble at LSU, originally scheduled for today, Nov. 2, has been postponed. Barnes & Noble officials were unable to travel to Baton Rouge due to Hurricane Sandy, so the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be rescheduled. The rescheduled date will be announced in the near future.

Grand opening events will still take place at the bookstore through the weekend, and include:

Friday, Nov. 2

All day

Grand opening

8 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Free tall coffee in the Café

1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Godiva sampling

2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Storytime & Signing – Authors Amanda Morgan & Jessica McDaniel

Amanda Morgan and Jessica McDaniel will be signing copies of their children's book, "Goodnight Tigers," an LSU-themed version of "Goodnight Moon."

Saturday, Nov. 3

10 a.m. – noon

"Tiger's A to Z" that will teach children the ABC's of LSU
