RRAA Art Gumbo Market held

The artists and friends of River Region Art Association held an Art Gumbo Market in the shaded area at the entrance of Houmas House Plantation Saturday, March 21. The event is held from 10 am till 2 pm (weather permitting) every third Saturday throughout the year and on the first three Saturdays in December. These artists offer painting, pottery, jewelry, photography and other art mediums. In addition to the shopping, Kevin Kelly, owner of Houmas House, provides visitors with a sample from the kitchen of Jeremy Langlois, the celebrated chef of Café’ Burnside and Latil’s Landing, both located on the Plantation grounds.
