Looking for that special jewelry piece or artwork that makes a statement? River Region Art Association is holding two exhibitions at its Depot Gallery this weekend to help you find it.

On Friday, May 16 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. is the closing reception for “River Region Community Art Classes Exhibition”. The exhibition features work completed by students and their instructors participating in the 2013 & 2014 River Region Community Art Classes. The classes are offered in four six-week sessions during the year. The exhibition runs May 11 – 16.

On Saturday, May 17 from 6 – 9 p.m. is the “Jewelry Trunk Show & Wine Tasting”. The event will showcase the work of eight participating jewelers and will include complimentary wine tasting with Mickey Sommelier of LeBlanc’s Food Stores.

The association’s Depot Gallery is located at 1008 W. Hwy 30 in Gonzales. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Wednesdays through Sundays. For more information on these events, contact the association at 225-644-8496 or rraa&riverregionartassociation.org.
