Relay for Life meeting
A Relay for Life meeting will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m. It will be held at Galvez Seafood, 40306 La Hwy. 42 in Prairieville. Living Nativity
Little Prairie Baptist Church, at the corner of Hwys. 42 and 44, will feature a "Living Nativity" Dec. 13, 14, 15 and 16, from 6-8 p.m. Drive though viewing.
Retiree Club Christmas Social
The Freeport-McMoran Retiree Club will be celebrating their annual Christmas Social at the Mosaic Recreation Building (Old Freeport Peppermint Lounge) on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. til. VFW/Auxiliary 3693 Christmas Party
The annual VFW/Auxiliary 3693 Christmas Party for members and guest is set for Sunday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Post Hall. Participants are asked to bring a dessert. An auction and raffle will be held.
Senior Citizen Christmas Party
The American Legion Auxiliary ladies will host a Christmas party for all seniors on Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 1-3 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. Featuring refreshments, bingo and prizes.
Santa Claus coming to St. Amant
St. Amant KC Council 6389 is having Santa Claus arriving at the KC Hall in St. Amant, from 1 till 3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 7. Doors open at noon and a movie will start at 12:15.
Community Christmas Celebration
Dutchtown Baptist Church invites the community to their Community Christmas Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 7 beginning at 6 p.m. Christmas will come alive as members present a living nativity with the narration of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem throughout the evening. Find the Baby Jesus in the manger with Mary and Joseph, see the shepherds watching their flocks by the light of the moon and be awed as wise men arrive with gifts for Baby Jesus. The live nativity presentation will be an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately.
Free activities for your family will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 8: p.m. Join in as they decorate gingerbread houses and sugar cookies; show off your artistic talents with crafts such as making Christmas cards and painting ornaments. Christmas stories and refreshments will be shared throughout the evening for you to enjoy while listening to Christmas music and chatting with friends.

Tuesday and Sunday Bingo
The St. Amant Knights of Columbus holds bingo two nights a week. On Tuesday, the doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7:30. On Sunday afternoon the doors open at 4 p.m. and bingo begins at 5 p.m. No one under the age of 18 is allowed.
