The artwork of recent EAHS graduates has been selected for a cookbook by the George Rodrigue Foundation for the Arts. Ashleigh Muscarello, right, and Jena Barlow will each have a work of art included in the cookbook. “The Pot and the Palette” will be published in October 2013 and will include 100 recipes as well as artwork from students across Louisiana. The theme of the cookbook is Louisiana’s Culinary Heritage and will feature a forward by Emeril Lagasse. Both students will be continuing their education in fall of 2013. Barlow will attend ITT Tech where she will study Graphic Design. Muscarello will attend LSU to study architecture. In her senior year at EA, Ashleigh also submitted a portfolio to The College Board AP program and received college credit for her artwork. “The Pot & the Palette” will soon be available for pre-order online. Proceeds will benefit George Rodrigue Foundation and Louisiana restaurant Association Education Foundation.
