Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Party

The American Legion Auxiliary will host a Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Party, from 1-3 p.m., on Nov. 13, at the Legion Hall. There will be bingo, prizes and refreshments.

Senior Recognition Program

The pastor officers and members of the First Pilgrim Calvary Missionary, Hwy. 73, Geismar, invite the public to their Senior Recognition Program Sunday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Levon Jackson Sr. of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Head of Island.

Cottages for CASA playhouse raffle

Child Advocacy Services is selling tickets their 2012 Cottages for CASA playhouse raffle. Tickets are $10 and participants will have three chances to win a prize. There are two playhouses and one 7-day beach house in Destin, Fla. The tickets are $10 and can be purchased at: 1026 E. Worthey Road, Suite C, Gonzales. ACT Kids Christmas Show Auditions

Ascension Community Theatre will hold "Kids Christmas Show - A Christmas Carol" auditions.

• Auditions open to ages 6-16

• Actors 11+ are encouraged to learn a 1-2 min monologue.

• Approx. 60 cast and support roles available.

ACT's annual Kids Christmas show is designed for kids to learn and grow in whatever place / role they feel most comfortable in theatre. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, running lights and sound or greeting our patrons as ushers, we guide our kids to fulfilling their role.

ACT Kids Can Act 2 strives to create an environment where our kids learn about themselves, theatre and build lasting friendships. We want Kids to have a fun and memorable Theater experience!

A Night of Praise and Thanksgiving

Many local guest soloists and psalmist will share an evening Saturday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m., at the Gonzales Civic Center. Among the guest will Hosea Redditt and Family, Konchette Bringier, Larry Smith, Stephanie Bland,

Evangelist Mary Brown and many more. Special Guest of the evening will be Pastor C. Maeco of Slaughter.

Admission is free of charge.

The event is sponsored by Visiion Productions Non-profit Organization.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

The Philippians Church Operation Hope Ministries is organizing a Thanksgiving Food Drive this holiday season. All donations will help families celebrate a plentiful Thanksgiving.Food Donations (non-perishable items only) can be dropped off at the address below. Food Drop- Off Dates: Nov. 10 and Nov. 12. Craft booths available

Craft booths are available for the St. Joseph Catholic Church "Winter Wonderland" Food Festival, A Taste of French Settlement on Sun., Dec. 2. The booths are $25 each. Wednesday Bingo

The American Legion Post 81, 421 E. City, Gonzales, holds bingo every Wednesday night. Everyone is welcome. Children are welcome, but must buy at least a $5 book.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 7:30 p.m.

Weekend Bingo

VFW Post 3693, bingo Friday and Saturday nights. Children six years and older are welcome, must buy at least a $5 book. Doors open at 6 p.m., bingo starts at 7:30 p.m.
