Awesome Arts on the Bayou Festival 2012 vendor deadline set

The River Region Art Association is now accepting vendor applications to the Awesome Arts on the Bayou Festival 2012. Vendor categories are Arts & Crafts, Literary, Non-Profits, and Food. Deadline for applications is Sept. 15. Fee is $100 for a 10’x10’ vendor space and a discount is given for current RRAA members and non-profit organizations.

The Awesome Art on the Bayou Festival is a two day arts and cultural festival to be held Oct. 13 and 14, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. It is located along 5 acres of scenic Bayou Francois in the Gonzales, City Hall and Jambalaya Park areas. It features music, dance, and theater performances on two entertainment stages, hands-on art activities and demonstrations in the Children’s Art Village, judged Awesome Art and Scarecrow Exhibits for adults and students, and 100 arts, crafts, literary, non-profit and food booths.

The festival is free and open to the public. It is made possible in part by support from the Mayor’s Office and City Council of Gonzales, and the Recreation Department of the Ascension Parish Council. It is supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
