Gonzales Tree Lighting, other Christmas events set for December

The City of Gonzales will boost its residents for the Christmas season with a tree lighting on Dec. 2, a movie night on Dec. 13 and a parade on Dec. 14.

Tuesday night’s tree lighting will be a City Hall at light up at 6 p.m. and will feature a 30-foot Christmas Tree and – everybody’s favorite – Santa Claus, who will be at the Gonzales Civic Center. Entertainment will be provided by the Center Stage Performing Arts Academy. Jambalaya will be provided by the Jambalaya Festival Association.

The Christmas Movie Night on December 13 will be in Jambalaya Park from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., including a double feature.

The Gonzales Christmas Parade will be on December 14 and will start rolling at 2 p.m.
