Meraki is defined as putting something of yourself into what you are doing, whatever it may be. It can also mean leaving a piece of yourself in your work.

For owners Paige Morales and Kelli Pichoff, that is exactly what they are doing with their boutique, Meraki Boutique.

On December 1, they had their grand opening for the boutique. With colorful balloons outside and drinks on the inside, how could you say no to taking a peek at the store?

There are plenty of clothes options with their sizes running from small to large. However, they do have one plus size rack in store that goes up to a 3x. Most of their clothes are staples, but they have some pieces in store with glitter detailing on the sleeve, shirts with words on them, and so much more.

Aside from clothing, they have shoes and accessories, too.

"We have local businesses for our jewelry and soaps," Paige Morales, one of the owners of Meraki Boutique, said. We figured it would be good to havesomething local inside of a locally owned boutique. The jewelry is by T. Elise, and the soaps are by Little Pink Soap Shop."

Prices of clothing start around $25 dollars to $60 dollars, depending. The clothes are quality pieces at affordable prices.

Meraki is located at 1210 North Airline Highway in Gonzales.
