October gives children the opportunity to dress up in what their dreams are made of, all thanks to Halloween.

The last Mommy & Me event on October 9 at Tanger Outlets encouraged kids to dress up in costumes. They were also exposed to safety education.

The Gonzales Fire Department and Police Department graciously volunteered their time to come to the event and let the kids check out their automobiles.

"The key was to focus on safety since Halloween is around he corner. Having the fire department and police department here helps show the kids that they are present and here to help protect them," Jeanne St. Germain, General Manager of Tanger Outlets, said.

At check-in, kids were given a small bag to collect candy in at select stores at Tanger for the event. There was also a balloon artist making characters, like Olaf from the movie Frozen, for the kids to take home. Real-life characters like Spiderman and Belle from Beauty and the Beast were there for kids to enjoy.

To complete the Halloween spirit, Tanger provided pumpkins for the kids to decorate and take home to proudly display.
