Along the riverbanks of Donaldsonville, within the Historic District, you will soon find locals and visitors from around the world, sipping, tasting and enjoying the spirits of Noel Family Distillery. Opening its doors in early 2019, patrons will be able to enjoy meticulously crafted spirits made with Louisiana Sugarcane, cultivated by local farmers.

The distillery will be the first of its kind in Donaldsonville and will be guided by Master Distiller Frank "Chip" Noel and his daughter & business partner, Natalie Noel. These natives of Donaldsonville will be crafting delicious spirits infused with the heart of sugarcane country and aim to impact the city's economy and local farmer’s community.

Tracy Browning, Executive Director of the Ascension Tourism Commission, said, “We are so very excited to welcome the Noel Family to bring the very first rum distillery to the historic town of Donaldsonville.” Browning believes that the Noel Family Distillery will generate an influx of new patrons to the city, while Mayor of Donaldsonville, Leroy Sullivan, is excited for the opportunity to attract even more tourists who are interested in unique locally distilled spirits.

Currently, under renovation, the distillery will feature a tasting room for guests and tours through the facility by Master Distiller Frank "Chip" Noel. Along with rum, vodka, and gin, the distillery will also produce a high-grade premium sipping Rhum Agricole.

Construction will be completed by the end of the year, allowing The Noel Family Distillery to begin production of its authentic craft spirits in early 2019.
