When we say TOP, you say TEN! Cheerleaders from Dutchtown and St. Amant High Schools recently participated in Varsity Spirit fundraising programs to “Team Up” for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, both being part of the top 10 schools to attend the St. Jude Leadership Experience on April 22 through 23 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Having attended this event for five years now, Dutchtown High School was the top fundraiser in the country, obtaining over $15,000. This was also St. Amant High School cheerleaders’ first visit as a top 10 fundraising school.

Three cheerleaders from each top school toured the hospital, interacted with patients, and visited the Target House where long term housing is provided for St. Jude patients and their families.

"It was an amazing opportunity for our girls, and we are so thankful for our communities for helping us raise the money to get us there," said St. Amant High School Cheer Sponsor Lauren Lambert.
