PSCU hosts free workshop for Prairieville community

Pelican State Credit Union is hosting a free Community Financial Wellness Workshop on understanding credit reports and scores for Prairieville and the surrounding community on Tuesday, January 30, at the Oak Grove Community Center on Highway 42.

Pelican’s Nationally Certified Credit Counselor April Gomez will break down credit reports and scores in this workshop. Attendees will receive tips for improving their credit score, learn why a strong score is important and more! Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the workshop begins at 6:00 p.m.

Like all Pelican-hosted events, this workshop is free and open to the public. The credit union will also be giving out door prizes and providing a free jambalaya dinner for all attendees. Credit union membership is not required to attend the event, receive dinner or be eligible to win a door prize.
