1. Sunshine Festival: Food, Rides and Fun are happening in Donaldsonville November 16-19 at this year's Sunshine Festival at the Fairgrounds in Donaldsonville, La. Moreover, on November 18 join the Avenue Stroll from 5-10 p.m. on Railroad Avenue. The stroll features zydeco music by Lil Wayne and the Same Ole 2 Step. Santa Clause and the Donaldsonville Fire Department will be on hand. The event features arts, crafts, caroling, shopping, and trolley rides.

2. Health - Growing Up GIRLS: A class for preteen girls will be held Saturday November 18. Help your daughter understand the physical and emotional changes she will experience as she goes through puberty. Join us for a matter-of- fact and reassuring discussion on this normal part of growing up. Designed for girls ages 9-11and their moms. 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Sr. Vernola Conference Room. FEE: $15. Pre-Registration Required.

3. Photography - Pinch a Picture: Create a stylish and decorative frame to show-off your best shots with “Pinch a Picture” at Ascension Parish Library. We’ll provide a glitter-painted frame that you can decorate with sequins and jewels. Attach clothespins all around, and a ribbon for hanging, and you’ve got a one-of- a-kind, unique way to display all your favorite photos! This exciting event will be held at all four Ascension Parish Library locations. Thursday, November 16 at 4 p.m. in Dutchtown, Tuesday, November 28 at 4 p.m. in Donaldsonville, and Thursday, November 30 at 4 p.m. in Gonzales.
