St. Amant Volunteer Fire Dept. participates in Cabela’s celebration

On May 21, the St. Amant Volunteer Fire Department participated in the 2016 Cabela’s Hometown Heroes Celebration. Cabela’s continues to be a leader in honoring local Hometown Heroes, said St. Amant Fire Chief and Ascension Parish Constable James E. LeBlanc.

On Saturday members of the St. Amant Volunteer Fire Department cooked and served jambalaya for all the Hometown Heroes and customers who visited the Gonzales store.

“It was truly a blessing for our Volunteer Firefighters to participate in an event that recognizes our local Hometown Heroes," LeBlanc said. "Our military, veterans, law-enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency medical service personnel, live every day to serve the residents of the wonderful Parish of Ascension."

The annual event at the Cabela’s, offers discounts to all military, veterans, law-enforcement, firefighters and emergency services across Louisiana.
