Chamber honors 2015 success at annual awards banquet

     The Ascension Chamber of Commerce honored its 2015 Ambassador, Individual, New Business, Small Business and Large Businesses of the Year at its annual awards banquet held Feb. 2 at Houmas House Plantation.

     The event began with networking with fellow Chamber members during a social hour, followed by dinner. After dinner, the Chamber celebrated the dedication and commitment of the 2015 Award Nominees. The program was led by Chamber President/CEO Sherrie Despino and Board Chairman Bridget Hanna, Ascension Parish Clerk of Court. Rae Milano, Chairman of the Ambassador Committee introduced the 2015 Ambassadors.

     The 2015 winners were Shawn Nolan as the 2015 Ambassador of the Year, Jacob Waguespack as the 2015 Individual of the Year, Guaranty Media as the 2015 New Business of the Year, Gulf South Technology Solutions as the 2015 Small Business of the Year and Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office as the 2015 Large Business of the Year. Mike Bonfanti, Bonfanti Investments, was also recognized for outstanding service as the top producer in the Chamber’s 2015 Total Resource Campaign.
