EATEL donates $5,000 to charities

Staff reports

EATEL recently celebrated its 75th anniversary by creating “Community Rewards,” a special program to reward EATEL customers and give back to the community.

Each month throughout 2010, EATEL will choose one customer at random to win $500. In addition, EATEL will make a $500 donation in the winner’s name to a local organization of the customer’s choice.

Whether a local school, volunteer organization, community theater or educational program, winning customers can decide where to donate the funds.

Brian Hayes of Prairieville, an EATEL customer for seven years, was the first Community Rewards winner with his donation going to The Rock Church.

EATEL customers are automatically entered to win. Winners will be announced on EATEL Community Connection, posted on www.eatel.com/communityrewards and EATEL’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

“Community Rewards is a new program designed with the purpose of rewarding our customers while giving something back to the community we’ve been fortunate to call our home all these years,” said Robert Burgess, EATEL’s president and chief operating officer.
