EATEL's Janet Britton earns spot on national board

Staff reports

Janet Britton, EATEL’s Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, was recently appointed to the 2010 Board of Directors for the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies, known as OPASTCO.

Britton and three other new board members will serve a three-year term alongside four current board members who will begin serving their second term.

In addition to serving as a new board member, Janet will also serve on the Legislative Policy Committee and the Regulatory Policy Committee. “Janet is uniquely qualified to represent the interests of OPASTCO and its 535 members to Congress and the Federal Regulatory agencies” said EATEL’s president and chief operating officer, Robert Burgess.

OPASTCO represents more than 525 small, independently owned, local telecommunications companies serving primarily rural areas of the United States and Canada.
