New Orleans Saints-Dallas Cowboys game to air locally on NFL Network

Based on high demand for the New Orleans Saints-Dallas Cowboys game, both Cox Louisiana and EATEL clarified any questions about the NFL Network broadcast.

The game will air Saturday at 7 p.m.

EATEL customers get the channel as part of the Basic Plus package, without having to buy any extra sports tiers. It can be found on channel 49.

Also, EATEL customers with an HD set-top box get the NFL Network HD on channel 749 at no extra cost.

Cox customers can see the game on channel 241 in the Baton Rouge and Acadiana areas, and channel 319 in New Orleans. The High Definition channel for NFL Network is 771 in all markets.

Cox customers must have the digital Sports and Information tier in order to access the standard definition channel 241 or 319, and must have an HD television and HD receiver for channel 771.

For customers in Jefferson, Orleans, St. Bernard and St. Charles, which are in the New Orleans market, by agreement with the NFL the game will also be available on WGNO (ABC), Cox basic channel 11 and WGNO HD, Cox channel 711. Cox customers in St. James Parish, also in the New Orleans market, will see WGNO (ABC) on Cox basic channel 5 and WGNO HD on Cox channel 705.

Prior to calling Cox, customers are encouraged to tune their receiver to channel 241, 319 or 771 to see if they currently have the service. Digital customers can also preview pre-game and post-game coverage and hundreds of hours of original programming on the NFL Network OnDemand, Cox channel 1.

Customers needing the service can visit any of Cox’s service centers. The Baton Rouge and Gonzales service centers will extend their hours to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The Lafayette service center, located at 1906 Eraste Landry Rd., will be open Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Customers can also call (337) 232-6323 in Acadiana, (225) 615-1000 in Baton Rouge or (504) 304-4269 in New Orleans to secure access to NFL Network.
