Staff reports

BATON ROUGE – Woman’s Hospital was named by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare for the second year in a row. It is the only hospital in Louisiana to receive this honor.

The hospital is ranked 41st, up 59 places from last year.

“We were able to achieve this distinct honor because of our dedicated employees,” said Teri G. Fontenot, president/CEO of Woman’s Hospital. “I am so proud to be a part of our team that exemplifies our mission, vision, and values every moment of every day - in routine as well as under exceptional circumstances.”

The rankings were a highly competitive process with over 5,000 hospitals eligible to apply.

Modern Healthcare conducted this program to recognize outstanding employers in the healthcare industry on a national level.

Modern Healthcare magazine is a national journal for healthcare executives.

Woman’s was selected on the basis of its application, survey results from a random sampling of employees, and information on its workplace practices, policies and employee benefits.
