St. Elizabeth Hospital promotes Knight, Richard
St. Elizabeth Hospital has promoted Sue Knight and Scott Richard.
Knight, Vice President of Finance and Chief Operating Officer for St. Elizabeth, has been named Chief Operating Officer of St. Elizabeth Physicians.
She will continue in her role as COO of the hospital as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the physician practice.
Knight holds a Bachelors of Science degree in accounting from Louisiana State University, and a Masters of Accounting degree from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Fla.
She is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 26 years of experience in accounting.
Prior to joining St. Elizabeth, she was employed with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center as Accounting Manager.
“Sue has had prior experience in physician practice management and will be a tremendous asset as she assumes the responsibilities of this dual role,” said Dee LeJeune, St. Elizabeth Hospital President and CEO.
Knight is a member of the Healthcare Finance Management Association and is certified through this organization as a healthcare finance professional.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to work closely with the St. Elizabeth Physicians, in addition to St. Elizabeth Hospital,” said Knight. “It is a rare opportunity to work more so closely with our physicians and the many people who support the success of the practice.”
Richard will assume the position of Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Richard holds a Bachelors of Science degree in accounting, and a Masters in Business Administration, both from Louisiana State University.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Healthcare Finance Management Association where he serves on the board of the Louisiana Chapter. He is also a member of the LCPA.
“I am pleased to announce he has accepted this new position and I know he will do an outstanding job in his additional responsibilities,” said LeJeune.
Prior to being named CFO, Richard, was the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Controller at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He has also held positions with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and General Health System.
