Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit arrested three suspects after the investigation of shots being fired at a party in Donaldsonville.

Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre reports that the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit arrested three suspects after the investigation of shots being fired at a party in Donaldsonville on February 16.

Detectives arrested the following:

Donald Scott Jr., 20, of Convent, was charged with obstruction of justice. His bond was set at $20,000 by Judge Verdigets.

Tyreik Melancon, 21, of Gonzales, was charged with disturbing the peace, four counts principal to illegal use of weapons, and assault by drive by shooting.

Darrel Morris, 18, of Convent, was charged with disturbing the peace, two counts illegal use of a weapon, two counts illegal use of weapon on a highway, possession of firearm by convicted felon, and assault by drive by shooting. His bond was set at $340,000 by Judge Verdigets.

They were all booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.

This case is still under investigation and more arrests may be forthcoming.
