"This is a much warmer and welcoming environment," General Manager Jimmy Stanford said. "Our customers can see what's going on. They can even track their pizzas on the screen above our registers. It's our job to make sure customers always have a terrific experience."

When you walk into a business and have the opportunity to see your food being made, you realize it's not just taken from the freezer and put into a microwave.

In Gonzales, the new Domino’s Pizza Theater is open for business at 402 W. Hwy. 30. They opened on February 4. On February 5, they offered free pizza for a year to the first twenty-five customers who made a purchase of $10 dollars or more.

Congratulations if you were in that number, or close to it. The next fifteen customers received free pizza for a month. The following ten received a free large one-topping pizza.

Moreover, National Pizza Day was on February 9, and the store gave customers the opportunity to receive a medium one-topping carryout pizza for three bucks and 99 cents.

"The store features an open-concept, interactive experience where customers can actually watch and track their pizzas being made," Gonzales Domino's franchise owner Glen Mueller said. "Domino's is bringing the art and fun of pizza making to the forefront."

All of the new stores are being built to look this way, because for the customer it is all about the experience.

"Originally, our stores were closed off to the public, so customers couldn't really see what was going on behind the scenes," Joey Patrick, the man behind some of the Domino’s promotions, said. "Now, it's completely open. This really helps us show that our dough is a fresh product and not pulled out of a freezer and warmed up."

The location also offers free wi-fi and a pick-up window. The pick-up window is for people who order online and want to just drive through to pick up their pizza when it is ready, instead of parking and going inside. You can order at the window too, but it is preferred that customers go inside to do that.

Additionally, Domino's has launched a Points for Pies reward system. This program allows "Piece of the Pie" rewards members to receive loyalty points for any pizza they order. Visit pointsforpies.com for more information.

The Gonzales, Louisiana store also offers customers and kids a community chalkboard, which allows for expressing creativity or just to leave feedback for the store and its team members.

Lastly, the Domino's Pizza Theater in Gonzales is looking to hire employees at the new location. They ask that interested applicants go into the store for more information, text “DOTTIE” to 97211, or visit jobs.dominos.com.
